Let them eat cake!

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Wichita Falls police banned a woman from Walmart after she reportedly ate half of a cake and refused to pay for the uneaten half, according to the Wichita Falls Times Record News. Police responded to a theft call June 25 at the Walmart; they were told a woman entered the store, ate half of a cake and refused to pay for the other half when asked. According to the Times Record News, the woman was banned from the store by police for the theft.

In January, a woman was banned from a Wichita Falls Walmart for reportedly drinking wine out of a Pringles can while riding around on an electric shopping cart.

this is a double bonus bargain. You get free cake and you don't have to shop at Walmart!

or sometimes, it's not cake at all!! ( June 3, 2019)

PASADENA, Texas — A high school graduate was ready to celebrate her big day with cake — until she realized the cake was Stryofoam, KPRC reports.

Marsy Flores said she wanted to give her daughter a great graduation day but her hopes to have a cake to celebrate the occasion quickly crumbled.

“They can't replace the moment that we lost," she told KPRC. "It’s a special moment, and this is what we got for it, a Styrofoam cake. Not only did they mess up one time, they did it twice."

First, on the morning of the ceremony, Flores was at Walmart to pick up a two-tier cake when they told her they lost her order.
then
To make it up to her, the store agreed to give her another cake for free. She selected a smaller cake.
The bakery put a picture onto the cake and added a few extra embellishments on the frosting before handing off the dish to Flores. It wasn't until the knife hit the cake, however, that the family realized it wasn't a cake at all. Underneath the frosting was just a rectangle of Styrofoam.

Walmart gave the family a $60 gift certificate after they complained.

Why do I suspect Walmart will be paying them more in the near future? :judge:

They actually gained a moment. They're "knee deep in the hoopla."

There's more to the story.

She actually was willing to pay for the uneaten half, but refused to pay for the missing half (which she ate in the store). She wanted to pay half price for the cake because half was "missing".

When she went to the register, she claimed that half of the cake was missing and refused to pay for the missing half, according to police. She wanted to pay half-price for the baked good.

A manager of the Walmart store then called the police.

Officers responded to the theft call on June 25 around 8:10 p.m.

After the woman ended up paying for the entirety of the cake, police barred her from the store for theft. No arrests were made.
