Children born to American military and government employees working overseas will no longer automatically receive US citizenship, their parents will have to apply for it.


That process costs time and money and is a really disrespectful thing to do particularly to Americans serving in the Armed Forces.

I think he's (and by he I mean Stephen Miller) targeting children of non-citizen soldiers. They may be less inclined to enlist if their children cannot become citizens, or the pregnant spouse will stay in the US instead of being them together as a family, which is just cruelty.
