Place your bets and BOMB THE HELL OUT OF THEM!
Don't forget to get a few extra jerry cans of gas-o-line, just in case, ya, know.
Saudi Arabia oil supply was attacked. There is reason to believe that we know the culprit, are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom as to who they believe was the cause of this attack, and under what terms we would proceed!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 15, 2019
Note the phrasing. Trump is waiting for the word from the Saudis, not our own intelligence services on who to start bombing.

good comments:
"The recliner is reinforced, the TV cleaned off. Big Macs are ordered. Donald J. Trump is ready for battle."
"I bet his recliner beeps when it backs up."
"I have also informed all appropriate agencies to expedite approvals of the oil pipelines currently in the permitting process in Texas and various other States."
And there folks is the REAL reason behind the release.
"The words of Rex Tillerson come to mind here..."
"Trump threatens to unleash Operation Fat and Furious."
"Think you meant Fat and Spurious."
"What did we sell them all those arms for? They can defend themselves."
"Trump says he’s waiting for the Saudis to tell him who they think did it. What if they say Israel?"
"More like blocked & bloated. No roughage since 1968."
"So Trump said that he was prepared to release oil from the strategic reserve to prevent a global disruption. In 2017, Trump was pushing to sell half of the reserve... 350 million out of the 700 million barrels."
"Maybe the Saudis should just invite the Iranians to their embassy."

I hope we're not sending our sons and daughters to kill and be killed by other people's son and daughters to save a few bucks on a tank of gas.

My comment from a post three down seems applicable to this thread:
"I don't see why Iran would provoke Israel, Saudi Arabia, or the US when they are all three itching for a fight."
For the same reasons Iran has planted explosives on oil freighters and hijacked another. It's a complicated situation and there are plenty of political anaylists and pundits who will give a number of reasons. An abbreviated version (IMO) are the sanctions placed on Iran after Trump pulled the US out of the agreement. The sanctions are harming the country badly. People aren't starving but it's still pretty bad (inflation, shortages etc.). The Iranian government is now playing a dangerous game to get the sanctions lifted by disrupting the flow of oil through the gulf. From what I have researched the Iranian government feels they can pull these acts off and just deny them. I believe they feel that no country wants to start or go to war in this volatile region. Therefore if they can cause trouble (without retribution) they have a chance to have the sanctions removed. They are banking on peace and the removal of sanctions over risk of a full scale war in the gulf. Basically appease them and they will stop causing trouble. Like I said earlier it's a dangerous game. It's beyond me why the Iranians didn't just wait until the 2020 election in the hope Trump is voted out.
Please keep in mind the above paragraph is abbreviated and there is so much more to this story books have been, can be and will be written. I didn't mention the ongoing feud between Saudi Arabia and Iran or the war in Yemen. Lots going on there, way too much to post here.

I especially like how the United States can now instantly determine and claim who’s supposedly behind it all yet never able to prevent it in the first place. Seems to be a genuine pattern of bullshit here. Pompeo’s in the business of casting lines out.
And everyone’s waiting to see which lie Trump will buy into.

HA Ha Ha!
President Trump's claim the US is “locked and loaded” may not refer to military action, the vice president’s chief of staff said Monday, calling the term tweeted by Trump “broad.”
“I think that locked and loaded is a broad term and talks about the realities that we’re all far safer and more secure domestically from energy independence,” Marc Short told reporters on the White House lawn. “This is not the 1970s oil embargo. It’s not 1990 when Iraq invaded Kuwait. We’re now a net oil exporter which means that the American market is much better protected.”
