“The Saudis always want to fight Iran...
#1
...to the very last American” said US defense secretary Robert Gates (who served as such under both Bush and Obama), in a moment of candor.

And now Cheeto stands, “locked and loaded”, waiting for royal blame-pinning and further instructions from the despotic monarchy in Riyadh.

“It’s not remotely normal for a president to talk publicly about that, to use language that sounds as if we aren’t making our own decisions about whether to use force — or trusting our own intelligence...” “And it’s completely unprecedented with a country that is not a treaty ally” said Heather Hurlburt, a national security official under President Bill Clinton who is now at New America, a Washington-based research organization...

...or as someone else said in 140 characters back in 2014:

“Saudi Arabia should fight their own wars, which they won’t, or pay us an absolute fortune to protect them and their great wealth-$ trillion!”

Guess who? That was then. This is now:

(From an NYT article that’s worth a read).

Typical of Cheeto...lie, obfuscate, be easily manipulated by bad actors. Nothing new here on his part. What's new is of course his ironic, blatant "How may I help you?" by putting our troops and treasure on the line for the people who brought us 9/11 in about the same way that Iran allegedly brought this incident.
