When the going gets tough, the tough pretend that Obama has endorsed them

This ad, titled, “Feel the Bern,” layers audio narration from Obama over campaign images and archival footage of the Vermont senator’s appearances alongside the 44th president
Sanders had been, among liberal federal lawmakers, one of Obama’s most vocal critics. The Atlantic reported last month that the Vermont senator had contemplated mounting a primary challenge against Obama during the 2012 election cycle.

Warren and Steyer had TV ads featuring Obama the week before the SC primaries too.

Warren's was entirely devoted to showing clips of Obama praising her for her work as Assistant to the President and Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in 2010.

Steyer's ad featured a SC woman who was ostensibly responsible for coining the Obama campaign slogan "fired up, ready to go" at an early 2008 campaign event in SC. Lots of of short clips of Obama saying the phrase, then cut to the woman who now supports Steyer with the same enthusiasm.

Did they consider primarying Obama? Did they say that the party establishment sucks? Oh, but now all of a sudden Bernie loooooves Obama who by the way IS the party establishment. That's a big LOL.

I see your point now. I skimmed over your second quote and entirely missed the ironic hypocritical aspect of Bernie's ad. He's clearly not a Tiger if he can so easily change his stripes.

Senator Biden has told us he asked President Obama not to endorse him (which I put in the same light as his claim of an "arrest" in South Africa), and then is running ads implying he has has the endorsement. None of them are above lies and political chicanery.

I don't get all the hate for Bernie. Clearly he has a lot of people behind him and is participating in the democratic process. He was defeated last time, and most likely this time too. There is something to be said for his candidacy keeping Democrats from being even more Republican.

He hasn't kept the Democrats from being "more" Republican. How about that? We flipped 41 House seats in 2018, with all very moderate candidates. Every far left endorsed challenger lost. By perpetuating that kind of non-reality and taking credit for that which he doesn't deserve is why people don't like him.

Here's one reason:
Joe's an all right fella in a lot of ways, but Bernie's more to my liking policy-wise, and damn oh damn I wish some of his worser followers weren't "worser." Because sure, not everybody lives on the Internet, but you do, and I do, and the reporters do. And for every "DON'T CALL ME A BRO" out there who's been alienating natural allies like most Warren supporters by telling us we just elected Trump and have blood on our hands, because somehow there is always a woman to blame, there is a media person seeing that shit and internalizing "BROS ARE ASSHOLES WHO WANT EVERYONE TO BEND THE KNEE," because of how that is what they themselves keep saying, out loud, with their mouths.

Because for all you sneer that "oh mean words matter more than people dying from lack of healthcare?" well, what matters more to you: Getting to say mean words, or people dying from lack of healthcare?

You don't even have to mean it. You can secretly wish that we all die or get raped or whatever (I hope you don't wish that, but some of y'all seem to), but out loud, you police yourself and your brothers and sisters: Does. this. help. our movement?

EDIT: Warren discussed this on Maddow. It's a real thing and it's bad and Bernie refuses to squash it.
