Trump: virus response “perfectly coordinated and fine tuned.”
#1
plus, it's going away in April!

We have a perfectly coordinated and fine tuned plan at the White House for our attack on CoronaVirus. We moved VERY early to close borders to certain areas, which was a Godsend. V.P. is doing a great job. The Fake News Media is doing everything possible to make us look bad. Sad!

TRUMP: “We’re going to have Americans staying home instead of going and spending the money in other countries. And maybe that’s one of the reasons the job numbers are so good.” — remarks to the press Friday March 6, 2020.

According to Trump, some of it is not just perfect, it’s almost as perfect as the most perfect thing ever.

” As of right now and yesterday, anybody that needs a test [can have one], that’s the important thing, and the tests are all perfect, like the letter was perfect, the transcription was perfect...”

But, let’s not go crazy with who we let in.

”During a tour at the CDC on Friday, President Donald Trump said that the experts he consults, including Vice President Mike Pence, want to take people off the ship
. However, Trump said that he didn't want the passengers raising the total case count in the US.

"I like the numbers being where they are. I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault," Trump said in a Fox News interview.

2/25:

With financial markets tumbling for the second straight day amid coronavirus fears and top U.S. health officials warning Americans to be prepared for the spread of the disease, Trump economic adviser Larry Kudlow insisted on Tuesday afternoon that the United States government has everything under control. “We have contained this,” Kudlow told CNBC. “I won’t say airtight, but pretty close to airtight.

3/6:

During a news conference at the White House last week...Trump said the number of cases "within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero. That's a pretty good job we've done."

"We're going very substantially down, not up," Trump added

Italy announces lockdown as global coronavirus cases surpass 105,000

The coronavirus epidemic could have come during any administration, and any administration would have difficulty containing US cases. But only this administration would center its efforts on denial rather than response.

I've seen only a couple of examples, but in the sloganeering category, I think we will see "Trump Virus" trending.

This has nothing to do with whatever pans out, of course, but it's interesting to watch for.

The US response is terrible, a very large part due to The Dotard reorganizing CDC and DHS and forcing out 80% of the leaders.

I was very critical of how Japan handled the Diamond Princess mess, now the US seems to be doing even worse. They quarantined the Grand Princess and they didn't even have test kits to confirm all the infections for two days after knowing there were very likely many more infected passengers and crew, and that those infections were spreading. I think the boat should dock immediately to reduce the population density, and strain on the ship's crew, but there still seems to be any plans other than let the infection spread while at sea.
