Small vehicular accident
#1
We were just now passengers in a car that was rear-ended.

My back has a slight twinge; MG's neck has ditto.

We're going to see how they are tomorrow; if no change, off to the doctor.

Is it a mistake to wait?

Thanks!

I know this has come up before, but please don't use this forum for potentially serious medical problems. Someone at one time had some arm pain or something similar. Consult a physician at the moment the question even arises in your head.

Go to a doctor now.

And sign NOTHING without specific approval from your attorney.

Yes, that's right. Life comes at you fast, as they say, and you should have someone who can advise you on this. It might cost some money out of pocket, but that's life.

You will probably really feel the whiplash tomorrow - If you go now -you can do things to minimize this.

SJ has it right.
Also, go to a Doctor, now!
If your house was on fire, would you be consulting the forum?
"It's just the kitchen, should I just wait till tomorrow to see how it goes before calling the Fire Department?"

elmo nailed it.

I did the "right thing" like you want to do which was to wait. WRONG! It was a few years before the matter was settled. I will suffer effects from the accident for the rest of my life.

If you feel it today, the next few days will see it get worse and worse. I've been rearended twice. Whiplash is a very subtle injury.

Delaying a day will not have any affect on your recovery, but you're in for a couple of nasty weeks.

Go asap and don't wait. I got rear ended 12 yrs ago while standing still - a mere $1K of damage to my car's rear but over the course of the next 8 months, what started as a little pain in the head/neck at the time of the accident, changed my whole life, resulted in me loosing my audio business and pretty much ended my music career. I am still dealing with the results.

You can't believe the kind of nightmare you can wind up in when it comes to an accident. Hopefully you and MG will be fine but you need to protect yourself in the event something bad develops.
