I tried to get into that show but found that the language overshadowed the story. It just wasn't watchable.

We had a fellow in the lab whose English was marginal at best. We told him to watch Deadwood to learn more English. It worked; he'd say "Either my %($$&*(# amplifier is broken or I've got a bug in my !&*(#!(##^% data collecting program".

I only saw one episode of Deadwood and it has been one of the most memorable ever...

It was the one where someone stole the Chinese guy's stuff:

Swearengen C*#%sucka!!!!!

Supposedly, Deadwood cost HBO a friggen' fortune to put together. And with all the language, it's nigh but impossible to syndicate the show like they can with Six Feet Under, Sex And The City, or The Sopranos. So yeah, it is all about the color, as George Hearst might have said.

One of the most awesome shows ever on tv. How would you have expected those people to speak? Like choir boys? The entire series could be rerun on HBO and it would stll be more interesting than anything else available. I'm glad to hear that there will be two more episodes. I thought it was done.
