Just got a new replacement Debit card from US Bank... but...

its totally blank on the front?

My name, business name, card number, exp and PIN are on the back... printed in the black ink that wears off after you use your card for awhile?

Apple card wannabe? or is this common now? or a bad card? google didnt seem to have the answer.

I think it's a trend. The last two VSA cards I got had the info on the back in slightly raised type. The one with dark grey type on a dark blue background is quite whimsical.

What's gonna happen when you're out in the countryside and need to stop for gasoline and they pull out one of these?

That's just a fast way to copy the numbers down. They could just write the numbers out by hand instead.

I think it's a trend.

My Prime card is the same, though the numbers are engraved on the back.

There's no real reason to have the information required for a transaction, on the front, or one the card at all where it could easily be purloined by some evil doer.

...and PIN are on the back...

PIN is printed on the card?

no, just the 3 digit security code. PIN can be changed, no reason to print it.
