Borgs, my fav and new species of alien. No time warp etc. However telepathy plays a big part that's kind of overused.
At Last! An excellent Star Trek Voyager episode.

Two of my favorite episodes of Voyager --
Scorpion, Parts 1 and 2 ... I thought that the writing, pacing, direction, acting, and production values in those two were such that they could have been easily been made into a film, and probably would have been far better than the rubbish that were "Insurrection" and "Nemesis". Plus, these episodes gave everyone something to do -- at the same time as they introduced the Seven backstory, you got Chakotay actually doing something, Janeway having a very nice moral/ethical struggle ("Do I help the Borg in order to help my crew, realizing that helping them defeat another species might doom many other species to assimilation?"), etc.

That's just the rye bread talking.

Yes, a pair of episodes that showed what Voyager could have been. Unfortunately way too few of them during Voyager's run. Of all the Trek series, Voyager turned into the one I mostly avoid watching again.

Yea.
I watched all but the first episode today. Voyager and TNG are easily my favorites.

Uh oh. Two parter. This is Scorpion.

"Species 8472", the best Star Trek character ever!
The Borg were SuperGirleMen compared to these guys! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Species_8472 BGnR

Only flaw so far. In the first part they said "paralell universe" once. Blah.

I liked the "Tuvix" episode (where Neelix & Tuvok wound up as a single entity due to a transporter accident), and the "Flashback" episode, which was their TOS tribute ep, and dealt with Tuvok's time on the EXCELSIOR under Captain Sulu.
So to speak. Agreed; VOYAGER was an uneven series in terms of "good episodes". It always bugged me how fresh, clean, and new everything always looked, considering their "Lost in Space" predicament.

Not to be confused with the "mirror universe". [quote Zoidberg]VOYAGER was an uneven series in terms of "good episodes". It always bugged me how fresh, clean, and new everything always looked, considering their "Lost in Space" predicament. Well, "The Year of Hell" will be showing tomorrow. |
