It should by extension be the Republican Party on trial.

Should she be removed from Congress? No, the voters in her district knew exactly who she was and her beliefs. They elected her anyway.

Should the Republicans embrace her? No, they are under no obligation to give her any committee assignments or work with her in any way. If the GOP was serious about her, they could toss her from the party. Will they? of course not.

The GOP feels like they're facing extinction. They're not even consciously aware of it. That's what is fueling their behavior. That's what we're facing. An enemy that wants what they want way more than us. In San Francisco, they're busy renaming schools. We've pulled down statues. Feel good stuff, while they're busy playing the end game.

We may have won the presidency, but they made hella inroads into our lead in the House and we're one Senator away from them controlling the Senate. If I'm not mistaken, they still control 26 out of 50 statehouses (hope I'm wrong about that).

23 to 27, but a lot of elections this year, mostly republicans. It looks like 7 Republicans and 2 Democrats will be running this year.

That woman is such an embarrassment.
And you are right that she was elected because she does represent her district’s views, which is even worse.

The state houses are really as if not more important than governors. With the abortion that will be the result of the last census, state legislatures will be gerrymandering like never before to hold onto power. Next gerrymander stays in place for ten years.

If states like PA, MI or WI can be flipped it will deliver a world of hurt to GOP machinations.

Michigan will no longer be gerrymandered. We had a ballot initiative that shifts redistricting to a bipartisan citizen commission. The commission is already in place and will be in effect for the next election.
