2021 Rock and Roll HOF nominees announced
#1
Here's a list:
Jay-Z, Carole King, Tina Turner, Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go's, Iron Maiden, Chaka Khan, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren and Dionne Warwick.

If it were my choice, I'd select:
Carole King
Tina Turner
Go Go's
Chaka Khan

Although I like Foo Fighters, Devo and Kate Bush, I just don't see that they made any real significant contributions worthy of being in a hall of fame. Of course, the same could be said of many artists who have been previously inducted.

Your personal list looks good imo. I might add FF.

And dang! I didn't make the list AGAIN! I've been an avid rock n roll listener my entire life. Sigh.

Tina Turner isn't in already?!?

(And all you need to know about that Hall is that Bon Jovi is in, but Devo is not.)

It's not the R&R HoF, it's the Pop HoF. The fact that it took so long for bands like the Moody Blues to be inducted just goes to show what a farce the whole HoF is.

The RRHOF is all a joke, but especially because The J. Geils Band has not been inducted, and now John Geils is dead.

How is Tina Turner still a nominee?

It seems like there are more bad nominees than worthy ones. There are still some legendary folks not in or overlooked, but now it seems they will have to lower the bar to keep up the pace of annual nominees and a ceremony.

rz,

Judas Priest gets snubbed again. At least Iron Maiden is a nominee. Well deserved though Judas Priest should enter the hall of fame sooner than Iron Maiden.

That being your criteria, I would add the New York Dolls to your list. And MJB has to get in, sooner or later.

Any love for Jethro Tull? Or ELP (though there's only one left)
