Harry handle with Dorco blades
#1
do Harrys handles fit and eject Dorco blades?
My Dorco handle is having trouble ejecting their blades and is falling apart. And I think Dorco is going away, at least by name.

Fritz,

Harry’s is proprietary. Dorco blades won’t work with it. I believe Dollar Shave Club uses Dorco handles and blades. Might be worth checking out. I think many of the generic store-brand razors are made by Dorco, too. You should be able to get a replacement handle oj Amazon.com.

Do you have a ton of Dorco blades left? One reason I like my Harry's razor is that I can always get blades at Target.

half doz. for that many, ain't worth buying a new handle.
Hopefully it'll make it thru.
Then onto Harrys or someones.

!

I did not know this.

Mine come by mail from Harry's.

Currently, they're $2 a blade, in quantity.

So Target has them?

I'll have to check that out.

Thank you for that tidbit.

I'll be off to Target on Monday for some blades, as I have two left.

Sure thing. I was pleased to discover that a couple of years ago. They still come out to about $2./blade, but it's nice to know they're there.

I was possibly interested in trying Harry's, but there's more than a handful of reviews on Target's website citing issues with rust in nearly new blades. You could sign up for Dollar Shave Club and get a new handle with a four pack of the six blade Dorco razor for $10. I usually get that deal and then cancel the subscription refills.

I've not seen that on any of the blades from Harry's, and I've been using them for years, and each blades lasts quite some time for me.

However, Harry's did mention that they've somehow 'improved' them, and that might mean a different metal that does rust.

just noticed that Gillette is making a heated "system" for $160.
Gonna get one to go along with my $18000 Nuova Simonelli Aurelia II Digit 4 Group capp/espresso machine already installed in my SF90 Spider.
