Biden rejects emergency aid for poorly run Republican states
#1
Kidding, of course:

President Joe Biden told reporters Friday that he will travel to Texas as the state remains locked in the throes of a dayslong freeze that’s brought power and water systems to their knees and endangered millions.

... The president also said he would sign a major disaster declaration for Texas as early as Friday afternoon and that he spoke to Gov. Greg Abbott Thursday night about the situation in the state.

Rather decent of him (considering Texas’ politically-driven go-it-alone separate-power-grid attitude that helped get them in this pinch).

Not like the last guys:

Trump administration rejects California's disaster assistance request for wildfires

Federal government denies Minnesota’s request for aid to clean up, rebuild in Twin Cities

Trump slams cities, states seeking U.S. aid to offset coronavirus losses

You know who: wrote:

“Why should the people and taxpayers of America be bailing out poorly run states (like Illinois, as example) and cities, in all cases Democrat run and managed, when most of the other states are not looking for bailout help?”

I dunno - did your state get unusually cold these past few weeks? Is your state “looking for bailout help” because of it?

Doesn’t winter come, y‘know, every year?

One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty (Proverbs 11:24).

A book of fairy tales where you can always find a fairly tale to fit the narrative you want to tell.

Sorry Acer, I guess I'm in sort of an acerbic mood today - I don't mean to aim my acerbicness at you personally.

Good quote even if it is harder for me to grok since it isn’t the King James version.

If I was Biden I would still toss a roll of paper towels to Abbot as I left.

somehow saying 'stories' seems less offensive and is just as true.

Maybe this format will be more palatable...

Does this support or undermine the Texas succession movement?

So, does Lyin Ted Cruz reject all federal aid and defer to Texas Exceptionalism?
