MacWorld Keynote-Help suggestions needed
#1
We have a group from Sacramento going to Macworld on Jan 9 (don't hate us).
We usually get together for breakfast and read the live text postings of the Keynote.

We will be at the show all day and are meeting for dinner. We will have a projector and a MBP and/or Video iPod to show the keynote. I know the restaurant does not have Wifi, but we plan to get connected at the show-Maybe at OWC (hello Larry).

Since the keynote is usually streamed-and not downloadable I need some input. Best way to do this?
Last year how soon till a torrent got posted?
Where would be the best place to look?

Any other ideas?

Thanks

The Keynote is not usually streamed until *some time* later in the evening, so it's going to be tough to plan on it's viewing.

A torrent was posted? I did not know that. Very cool. Beats trying to view the stream for the first couple of days. The bandwidth is usually hit so hard that veiwing is often choppy at best. Unless you're going to be in town a few days, I wouldn't count on getting a torrent anytime soon.

Last year I saw it on Wednesday or Thursday, and it was perfect nearly the entire time.

I'll be there all four days, but I thought about getting a hotel room in the City just so I could check out the keynote text before heading down to Moscone.

Except that it would be jammed, I'd try to grab a spot inside Moscone and use their free hot spots.

Maybe I can find a cafe or some place that will let me leech. Starbuck will probably be crowded, even though there are several of the in the area.

Macworld has a WiFi area where free access has been provided years past. Believe it's the user group sponsored area.

Will try to get a MR dinner together sometime in the week too.

The problem is getting to one the morning of the keynote.

The halls are usually packed, and getting a spot anywhere along the walls might be iffy.

I'd settle (and prefer, most likely) a restaurant/hot spot, nearby.

A fine breakfast and a lovely beverage while reading the Keynote.

The breakfast of champions.
