On the way to Home Depot, Target just happened to have Wiis
#1
My son's birthday is in January, and I am looking for DS Lite. So, on the way to Home Depot to replace/repair their closet door track, I popped into Target. Their electronics is just inside the entrance and asked if they had any Wiis or DS Lites. I like to hear people laugh at me. Smile

Much to my surprise they were huddled around three Wiis that just came in. So, IMPULSE BUY....I bought one.

Now, my plan is to still find a DS Lite. But, this is PLAN B.

And that itrackr.com did not help for either of those items at least for ME.

Man, that little Wii (box) is heavy. What the hell is in it? I might NEVER KNOW.

…and he cried Wii, Wii, Wii! all the way home.

Tell your son that, instead of the DS Lite, you got the DS Heavy.

If it's a choice between the Wii or the DS Lite for his birthday and he'd be happy with either, I'd go with the Wii. My daughter has a DS Lite and plays it mostly in the car on long drives. We bought her a Wii for Christmas and we've all been playing it. The sports package that comes with it is lots of fun, we've had several bowling tournaments since Christmas.

I think Zelda is the top rated game for it right now, also elebits is supposed to be pretty popular. There is a Mario game and a version of Super Smash Brothers that is supposed to be out soon.

Zelda rocks, depending on your son's age though.

Do Wiis use a "regular", wired controller or just that wireless "gyro" type thing?

No wires, it comes with a wireless remote and a nunchuck, here's a good explination of what the controllers are for:
