Trump CFO turns himself in, charges forthcoming today
#1
Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg surrendered to the Manhattan district attorney's office Thursday morning ahead of expected criminal charges against him and the company in connection with alleged tax crimes, his attorney told CNN.

A Manhattan grand jury filed the indictments Wednesday, and they are set to be unsealed Thursday around 2 p.m. ET. Trump is not expected to be charged.

The ex-president has already attacked the charges in a released statement-- "Radical Left New York City and State Prosecutors, who have let murderers, rapists, drug dealers, and all other forms of crime skyrocket to record levels, and who have just announced that they will be releasing hundreds of people involved in violent crime back onto the streets without retribution of any kind, are rude, nasty, and totally biased in the way they are treating lawyers, representatives, and some of the wonderful long-term employees and people within the Trump Organization."

Hopefully, the court will put a gag order in place to save the nation and world from hearing Trump's whining and lies. Plus, when he can't keep his mouth shut, a contempt of court charge would be fun.

It’s his usual commentary style. I don’t think anybody pays much attention anymore to his exact wording.

I look forward to seeing this guy’s mugshot.

Maybe after the 2024 election, depending on the outcome. Weisselberg should be able to avoid prison with appeals and all until then.

They make that choice, and are richly rewarded for it; plus they don’t have to pay tax on the rewards. Or, more accurately, they haven’t before.
