Been on Big Sur on my M1 Mini for the past 9 months. Generally it has been pretty stable and is working well. But I have 4-6 nags/glitches/bugs that have persisted through the various BS point updates this year. Working through my handful of bugs is something I can work on, but have already spent time on several of them with no lasting solution. So, I'm reluctant to spend much more time on them if a better, more mature OS would address them.
Of the Monterey users out there, how does it feel compared to BS? Generally more stable? Like a polished version of BS? Or, just a new OS with its own set of bugs/challenges?
Should I consider upgrading to solve all my problems? Or just stick with BS for now? Any recommendations? Let's leave aside any compatibility issues with individual apps as part of this upgrade question, and just focus on the OS for the sake of this scenario.
FYI, a few of the issues that I've encountered and tinkered with solving:
-Time Machine stopped working
-"Desktop" icon disappears from finder sidebar
-Some windows are found moved 95% offscreen upon waking from sleep. Several different apps.
