not a bad deal for a one-off moving need.

No deal. The tape is no better or worse than similar packing tape. My issue is with the dispensers. They're a nuisance. You'd be better off buying the tape and dispenser separately. We've been using these in my warehouse:



Easy to load. Works well. Only issue with the above model is the handle. It's a touch short for some. Could be a problem for those with bigger hands.

Our other go-to dispensers are this and various versions of it. Pretty much generic:



Always 3" models. Offers more versatility. Use it with 2" tape and 3" tape, though we almost never use 2" tape anymore.

They can be.

I've learned to tolerate them, and do ok, so I'm in for one six-pack.

I have been buying tape at Grocery Outlet for $1.25 or $1.50 a roll (up from $1 last year), it's a little thinner but a lot less expensive than most packing tape.

If anyone has better deals on multiple rolls of clear packing tape, let me know.
