Fourth time's the charm? USFL season begins today
#1
New season starts today for this brand's 4th try @ "spring football".
This incarnation is owned by Fox Sports and Fox is sharing the TV rights
with NBC Universal.
Tonight's game is at 7:30PM (ET) on Fox and NBC. Check local listings.

I don't watch NBC much. This is the first I heard of the new season starting so it is a complete fail promotion wise.

So which team has Mr. Trump bought into this time?

And if the Orange Menace is involved, I can only hope he fares equally well this time around.

I like college football. I like the NFL. I don’t mess with that in-between stuff.

Heard bits and pieces about the altered rules for the USFL.

Sounds a little too video game-y for me.
We will see.

How did it end up on both NBC and Fox with the exact same feed and announcers?

The dronecams are an interesting change from the NFL's teathercams. I'm not sure I like them better, but it is an interesting change.

I went to a Stallions-Generals game in about 1985, when New Jersey had Herschel Walker and Doug Flutie. It was still the most boring excuse for football I have ever been subjected to.

First game was pretty entertaining with a nail biter of an ending. I hope it's successful!

It's made for people like me, who are going through feetsball withdrawl, and who will watch anything
(Premier League Soccer, Rugby Sevens, Scranton vs Stamford Branch Flag Football, PS 237 Lunch Hour Kickball...).
I'm desperate, man...

Seriously, I'm surprised it's holding my attention. And I do like some of the things they're doing to speed up the game (ps, can we get a shot clock for baseball?)

Oh, and I'd love it if a Trumpless USFL was a success.
