Down for Everyone?

One of my co-workers asked if I knew of any issues affecting Verizon. He can't make/receive calls. Internet still works on his phone. So cellular data is working, but no calls. I visited DownDetector and it looks like ALL the major carriers got hit with something at around the same time, 11:30AMish PDT. Anyone else having issues? I know that there were some significant Solar Flares, but I was under the impression that we missed the BIG ones. Verizon is showing 96% outage, while the other carriers are 30-50%, so maybe the DownDetector is just showing issues on the other carriers that are a result of calls to Verizon numbers that aren't connecting.

Not that I know of in SE lower MI. I have an MVNO that uses AT&T and no issues for me...

Here in E WA, Verizon was down for me at 12:30, back up now.

I made this post for my Verizon phone so no problems in western Washington.

Our office just tried to call a parent and (long story short) her Verizon phone was "not working"...
And I cannot seem to load a web page on my Verizon iPhone, but, can get some notifications from other apps (using Cellular).

So, it seems Verizon may be cattywampus here in far-northern-coastal California.
Or it was a weird coincidence.

Verizon data working fine...but voice calls and voicemails have been a "no go" in my region all day.

Local news here in LA is reporting it as a Verizon issue. My T-Mobile acct is acting normal.

I was, unfortunately, on the phone most of the day, here in Atlanta. Voice on Verizon seemed to be fine.
Now, the people I was trying to talk with, they were definitely not up to speed. Lol
