I knew too much water could mess with your electrolytes and way too much was dangerous, but I never imagined this. He was alone and drank too much water. I didn’t ask him how much or why. It’s not hot yet. Anyway, he had seizures for an hour and a half. Luckily his brother came by and found him. Two guys couldn’t handle him. He had chewed his tongue up. He got to the ER and ended up in the hospital for 19 days.

The crazy bother of a friend of mine had voices suddenly telling him to drink water constantly - he nearly died from that episode.

A woman died many years ago drinking too much water in an attempt to win a radio station contest. Family sued the station and IIRC won the lawsuit.

Rabies?
If it was, his seizures wouldn't have stopped until he died...
The number of people in human history who have NOT died from rabies is so small as to be insignificant...
Except for the one that recovered 100 yards from where I'm sitting... She made national news. It was a big deal.

Hyponatremia
I thought it was hypernatremia? To much is hyper, not enough is hypo? Unless I'm confused about what there's too much of or too little of, of course...

Rabies is called “hydrophobia” so wouldn’t an infected person avoid water?
