Anyone local know if you can just show up at the gate and buy a ticket like the old days (I was there once in 2004)? Their web site seems to suggest I need to buy a package.

Can you buy another person's ticket who can't go? I'm not sure how the secondary market for this works.

I highly recommend going on a weekday vs. weekend; these folks have much more advice than I could give.

Monday it is then. Planning is like a bank job to time it to miss rush hour from SD to Anaheim and back.

KEEP THE CAR RUNNING

MousePark has had some some labor issues recently so when you do show up it's best to show some solidarity or at minimum wear a pin so the hired help will know you're on their side (get thru some lines quicker as well)

I believe you need to have a park reservation to get in (for all people in the party). A ticket alone does not do it anymore.

No. You need to make a reservation to even be able to buy a ticket these days.

I have fond memories of my Dad kissing Benjamin goodbye at the Disneyworld gate to get four of us in. Today he would be kissing Hamilton, or three.
