Move from Big Sur to Monterey?

Ventura seems to be giving a lot of you and others, fits.

My M1 MBA is on Big Sur and I'm thinking of taking it to Monterey for the Hidden Mail feature.

Any caveats to consider?

I use Hidden Mail a lot, but it's a bit of a hassle using on my 'Phone (12 mini) so I want at least one Mac to be capable of using it.

My iPad mini 5, once updated, can use it, but it won't be much of an improvement, if any.

I say go for Ventura.
The changes are not bad, just… different.

I just did BS to Monty yesterday. I'm on a 2018 Intel mini.
My buddy is a head Pro Tools tech at a big post house. He said stay with Monty for now for Pro Tools. For anything else, that may differ.

Only issue I had was that Photos wouldn't launch.
I ran DFA and Onyx and all seems to be OK.

My podcast client auto updated both his M1 minis to Venty, I've had a couple issues with it an iMovie, memory leaks, that I haven't tracked down yet.

I upgraded from BS to Monterey on my M1 mini when I was having problems with a particular application. It went as smooth as you-know-what through a goose - upgrade recommended.

As mentioned here before, I upgraded to my Apple Studio when I did primary because I was assured of being able to run Monterey instead of being forced to run Ventura.

You are wise to stay away from Ventura.

But when you're of a retiring age, it's ok to be a bit remote. Either way, you're living in the finest landscapes of what California has to offer.

M'nrey was pretty awesome, then I accidentally upgraded ye olde M1 MBA to Ventura, and have been wishing it'd stayed a few hundred miles further up PCH ever since. Do you know the way to Monterey.... hey there's a catchy tune in there somewhere....
Monterey, or whatever comes after Ventura (hopefully).

Having issues with Music. When I sort by title it only goes as far as "G".
All other songs are missing from the library.
But all Artists and album names are there.
Tried a pram reset and cleared the cache of Music, n/c.
Small yet annoying.
