Guess this mornings CPI numbers were good, meaning the feds won’t have to raise interest rates. This should factor in positively to the banking situation.
Markets are up (even crypto)….does this mean banking crisis is averted?

Kiplinger reports:
The CPI numbers were mixed. What got the street excited was that thanks to the bank failures, the Fed might be afraid to raise rates more, because it might cause more failures. https://www.kiplinger.com/cpi-report-inf...kes-prices

Ah…. Yeah, I hadn’t read anything about it, I just woke up to take a look at the market numbers this afternoon, thanks.

The banking stuff is not over. There are a few others that are shaky because of their investments that were of a similar type as SVP and Signature. Credit Suisse is looking at some losses too..

Assuming the banking stuff is over, stocks appear poised to rise decently. For example, there's some information to suggest Tesla may have better delivery numbers for the quarter than analysts expected. And I wouldn't be surprised if Bitcoin benefits from the general macro and banking issues, to go to $30,000 this week or next.

The banking crisis is not over. Two investigations have been opened on SVB.

Schwab, having a banking arm, dropped 25% between last Wednesday and Monday. At close today, it was almost up to the previous 52 week low.

Don’t even look at the futures today.
Apparently European banks are now the worry and the Dow is projected down over 600 the last time I looked. Ugh. I don’t need another crisis in my life, not that anyone does. ![]() Whippet, Whippet Good |
