All mass shootings are terrible.

Why do you say it's not getting suitable press? One person died, and five were shot. That's just a tragedy.

Agreed, but for some reason only certain mass shootings are deemed newsworthy. Notably mass shootigns done by killers using handguns are minimally covered. Black on black shootings, rarely covered.

Time to stop using these events for political gain and start looking for solutions

Yes, it's terrible that only every major news outlet in the country has covered the multiple mass-shootings in Mississippi this week.

So, a(nother) mass shooting occurred, it appeared in the news, and you think it was “ignored”?

There have been 193 mass shootings so far this year alone (not everyone “ignores” them - some people actually keep track of this horrific carnage.) One hundred and ninety three. They can’t all make the front page.

Are you saying this was ignored because of ethnic background? Do you think a Latino background of both the shooter and the victims (as in the recent Texas mass shooting) was what made that one more newsworthy? And do you really think that would have been ignored if the guy was shooting off his handgun at midnight and then killed his neighbors because they asked him to stop?

Your worldview is just…bizarre, honestly.

The cause and solution are clear (not simple, or easy, but obvious).

Yes.

And for years, the average murder rate in Baltimore was more than 1/day.

And yet, you keep arguing against ANY approaches to fix this.
