Skip to about 3:00 but I think you should watch the intro to see how many cameras, lidars and sensors are in this thing

Apple is going to make a lot of money. People are going to take out a second mortgage or sell one of their kids (or kidneys).

Awesome!

Combine with Artificial Intelligence, and we can eliminate the human!

For decades, computing has been becoming more and more intimate. These goggles are probably the final step before we go to implants.

I hope they think to brand them as Apple Silicone implants.

He hit on the big thing at the end - this is first generation. Assuming it does not bomb (and it could at $3500), later generations will be far better in the way that an iPhone ## is better than the original iPhone, that a M1 MacBook is better than a Powerbook, etc. An affordable Vision SE down the road is intriguing.

Perhaps dumbed-down Visions that just mirror the main one, so others can see what your seeing. Those could sell for a fraction and now your kids can watch a movie in the backseat without shelling out $3500 per kid.

This is a first generation - the future is just a vision for now.

^^^I agree on all points.

This is going to be big. It may have an effect on Apple stock close to what the iPhone did. Of course, like the iPhone, it could take a few years for the effect to be reflected. AAPL a bargain now?

Apple has a very strong history of sweeping support of first generation devices under the rug. The original iPhone and iPad were pretty much abandoned after two years. The Watch got three OS updates.

I think he hit on a big point at the end when he was talking about the avatar in facetime and the dad wearing the thing and taking pictures. That last part would be majorly weird if you ask me.

Personally, I don't see how this will do well until there is something really compelling on it. As it is, it just seems like another way to avoid human contact. how would 2 people watch a mvie together with this thing?? and who wants to be watching the movie by themselves?
