$35 dollars later and that cat bastard still hasn't taken the tapeworm pill.
1. Mix with dry food after surgically inserting pill in a piece. Nope. But ruined it.
2. Wrap it in a piece of vienna sausage. Nope. But ruined it.
3. Try to shove it down her throat. Nope. Dissolved all over my fingers. Scratches everywhere.
4. Crush it and mix it with food. Nope.
Wasted 5 of the 6 pills. This little beyotch is hiding from me.

We use something called pill-masker.
You might get the medicine in fluid form - better for squirting down the throat.

I bought 2 of the boxes of pills with 3 each. I definitely need the liquid. I'm gonna look up pill-masker.

That's not happening. She'd probably scratch out an artery.

If she comes out of where she's hiding, I'll try it.

With the pill in one hand, I hold my cat against my chest and stroke her to calm her, then gently put her down on the floor facing front, straddle her, and continue to pet her.
As I stroke her throat, I move the fingers of one hand up and press against the sides of her mouth. I rest the pill on a finger from the other hand.
When she opens her mouth, I jam the pill down her throat with my finger, pushing it down behind her tongue.
When I remove my finger, I gently massage her throat and jaw until it's clear that she swallowed the pill.

I feel your pain.
I had two kitties that needed lots of meds.
Our boy Jack would eat his pill in a piece of pill pocket, other cat, not so much.
There is a thing called a pill popper that lets you shoot the pill down their throat. I didn’t have much luck with it.
Liquids were easier for me. I would wrap kitty up like a burrito, in a towel, hold her between my knees while sitting on the floor, then get the hypo full of the meds in that little space at the back of the teeth, hold head up a little, squirt and pray.
