Here’s one that I recently came across from 2022:

The former chairman of Oklahoma College Republicans has been sentenced after pleading guilty to sex crime charges, according to the Oklahoma County Court Clerk’s office.

Jonathan Hernandez was arrested in July 2022 on one count of forced oral sodomy and one count of indecent or lewd acts with a child under 16.

The church connection?

According to the affidavit, Hernandez met the then-14-year-old victim at church where Hernandez was a minister.

Hernandez was a student at Oklahoma Christian University at the time and he invited the 14-year-old to his dorm room.

The affidavit said the two then watched porn on Hernandez’s bed…

If you need to, you can read the rest yourself. He got a suspended sentence (ie no jail time), because of course he did.

He requested his sex offender registry be transferred to Texas, so he may be hoping for a bigger political future there.

Also, while we’re on the subject of hookers and booze, Matt Gaetz has an upcoming court date to testify in a defamation lawsuit brought by a friend:

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz on Thursday was served a subpoena to sit for a deposition in a civil lawsuit that involves allegations he had sex with a 17-year old-girl, sources tell ABC News, as part of a suit brought by a friend of the congressman against the young woman and others.

Gaetz was issued the subpoena, which has not been previously reported, by attorneys representing the woman who is now in her 20s and was at the center of a years-long investigation by the Justice Department into allegations that the Florida congressman had sex with her when she was a minor, sources said.

The deposition could see Gaetz asked under oath about his alleged sexual activity with the woman when she was a minor.

…When news of the allegations against Gaetz first broke in March 2021, Gaetz denied them in an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, where he also claimed the 17-year-old girl "doesn't exist."

…and yet she does, apparently.

I doubt if any judge will let this become interesting. Any good questions against Gaetz will be objected to and sustained.
