Mitch McConnell has something to say, but I don't think anyone cares anymore...

Mitch wrote a BIG LONG oped called,

The Price of American Retreat
Why Washington Must Reject Isolationism and Embrace Primacy

it's a freebie: https://www.foreignaffairs.com/united-st...-mcconnell

I read about half of it before deciding that it just doesn't matter. He's trying to appease Trump while also trying to correct some of Trump's worse instincts. He won't listen to any of it. Dems don't care what Mitch has to say - trumpies don't care what Mitch has to say. His audience, a now tiny sliver of the republicans won't comment if they still have any ambition or unless they happen to be Mitt Romney.

So, please Mitch - just stfu

I agree that this is a post-Mitch R party and his opinion is only worthy in a few smaller (and smaller) circles. Mitch won't live long enough to see the party come back around to one he was raised on.*

* for better and worse, it must be said

Democrats are going to need at least a couple 2-3 Republicans to stave off some future tragedies. We don't have to like them. Nobody likes Susan Collins, but without her, we would no longer have the ACA. We can talk badly about her and that's fine. But I think we can be grateful for that one thing.

But as stupid as Mitch McConnell is and as much as he blames Obama for everything bad, he's clearly having some issues with Trump. Hopefully, we can milk that for at least one thing, such as providing Ukraine with weaponry.

This assumes it will EVER “come back”!
