So, I had really bad sore throat a 4 days ago, no other symptoms. Then coughing most of night. Next day, no more throat issues, some but infrequent cough, really bad congestion started. Slightly elevated temperature (99.4). Next day, better congestion, better cough, somewhat higher fever (100). Today still better but not well, same amount of general dizziness as last three days, so tested for Covid and the positive line popped up before the control one.
Vaccinated at least 6 times, last time in September, had Covid once in 2002 (was milder but was taking Lagevrio). Would not have even thought of testing myself if this had not lasted for so long.

Similar experience. 4 Pfizer and 2 Moderna, last one Oct. tested positive on the 30th. Managed to isolate and did not spread it to wife and kids.

I call this a victory for science. The vaccines did their job and prevented you from going to the hospital or from dying.

Happy to hear covid symptoms have gotten "milder" compared to the circa 2020 variety. I'm not a scientist or doctor, but I imagine having those vaccines in your body helped you from not dying. Or helped with less severe symptoms. Sounds like a bad cold. Glad you're on the mend!

I had the worst sore throat of my life a few weeks ago; home covid tested negative; got strep test at urgent care and it was negative. In fact, every time I've been sick and done home kit testing for Covid since my initial and only known infection in 2021 has come back negative, which just seems unlikely almost 4 more years even with following the vaccine regimen and taking no other precautions.

I tested myself today because I've had some sinus pressure for the last couple of days. Wanted to be sure it was negative because my wife is about to spend a week with her elderly parents. It was negative. But every time I've tested positive (3 or 4 times, can't remember exactly) the symptoms have been pretty mild. Stuffy nose and sore throat for a day or two. I'm thinking my sinus stuffiness could be allergies.

I had it twice before I was eligible for the vaccine, both times it was very mild and only felt crappy for roughly 48 hours. Never caught it again, even though I've traveled extensively for work. Have gotten a common cold a few times but that's it.

No one in my house is vaccinated.
