It finally got me.

Covid.
I think my symptoms started on either late Tuesday or Wednesday but definitely felt bad yesterday afternoon . This morning I decided to take an at home test because I had a headache, in addition to feeling like I had a cold. I almost never get headaches and I had read that a Covid headache is a thing. Yep. The at home test popped up positive very quickly.
I called my doctor’s office and the nurse is going to ask the doctor if I should take Paxlovid. Waiting for the call back.
Not happy about this but I guess I was lucky longer than most. My last booster was in October, I think.
Thanks for letting me whine. Smile

I'm sorry that you got Covid. I'm the only one of my siblings who has not, so I feel as if I'm on borrowed time.

I hope you feel better soon!

I had fever and all-over body aches. Everything hurt. But that was Covid 1.0.

SIL (who we guess we got it from) had no symptoms other than (prolonged!) loss of smell/taste.

The big thing is breathing/oxygenation. (We happened to gave a fingertip pulse oximeter.) Only my BIL ended up going (briefly) to the hospital.

I don’t know if there are any particular downsides to Paxlovid, if you feel really yucky.

Good luck.

Get well soon ! We had it again late last year, despite regular immunizations. Be well, keep your sense of humor, and make sure you can breathe !

Thanks all.
Doc said she would call in the Paxlovid but I could wait and see if the symptoms get worse over the next 3 days and if so I can start then.

Ok, I'm breaking out my masks again. I still haven't gotten it yet.
