Project Farm's security camera review
#1
Project Farm just posted a comparison of home wifi based security cameras.

A few surprising results - Blink and Eufy were the worst, Ring was below Wyze. Top was Eufy (@$160). He did recommend Wyze as the best of the affordable choices.

It was just about a year ago we started looking at home cameras like that and bought two of those Wyze cameras because they had a lot of good reviews. Very shortly after trying them out, we were frustrated enough that i returned them and bought two Tapo cameras; one wired and one battery. We've been very pleased with both of them. I must say I was a little disappointed to see the Tapo near the bottom of his list. I guess it all depends on one's specific needs. I didn't watch the full reviews, but now I'll have to check it out because I'm curious as to what he found lacking.

I didn't think Todd could look any more awkward but that weird thing he does with his hands now in the titles for his video puts him right over the top on the dork meter.

I'm sticking with SV3C for now. I like ProjectFarm but I only have use for PTZ at this point.

FTFY. It doesn't surprise me that Blink, Arlo and Ring would fare poorly (I've used Arlo and still use Ring). The compression on cloud recordings can make a 4k camera look like 480p (or worse). But there's a convenience factor and ease of finding clips that might make a cloud option a "better" choice for some people.
