New Mac Studio M3 Ultra
#1
Grabbed a refurb Studio with M3 Ultra while the forum was on sabbatical.

The refurb store was chock-full of M3U & M4Max Studios at the time. Still a few there (and lots of M1 & M2s as well).

Very nice machine!

Love my M1 Max Studio.  Went from a 5,1 MP to it.  Only thing I miss is the "internal" disk space.  I now have 5 SSDs in 3 different cases hooked up.  I just wish SSD capacity would grow as fast as spinners did.  I remember when 8TB was the biggest spinner.  It's now up to like 30TB.  I was going to buy a couple of 8TB SSDs a few years ago, then the price skyrocketed. And the price jump from 4TB to 8TB is huge... more than double. Given the current economic situation, I don't see the prices getting much lower anytime soon.

I keep as little as possible on the boot drive (1 TB).

There is only about 300 GB on it now. I have a OWC Thunder Bay as my main storage. (56 TB).
