8 episodes into "Lost".

OK, so I caught bits and pieces of this show while waiting for whatever comes after it to come on, and it stuck me as being of very low quality. Influenced by the constant excitement 'round these parts about the show, I grabbed the first few episodes from the video store. Not bad . . . bought the first season DVD. I see now that it's a fairly thoughtful production, with a bit of actual depth given to the characters.

So, I'm requesting that all posts about the show cease and desist until I'm caught up.

It was quite a dissapointment to see some of the actors on the Golden Globe Awards last weekend -- now I have to presume none of those die (in the first two seasons, at least). I hate spoilers . . .

Welcome to my sickness. I am one of those people who read and watch tv, surf the web and watch tv, cook and watch tv, etc.

Unfortunately, Lost requires undivided attention which is why I now have to Tivo each episode so I can watch and rewatch the parts I spaced out the 1st time around.

Lost is most DEFINITELY in the details...

Yeah, I've noticed watching it in the background leaves you feeling like you have to go back and do it again.

I like the details. I feel I know the life story of many of the characters.

I did the same as you h - very interesting and I don't watch TV - at all (except for hockey). I D/L in HDTV and watch it on my mac.

I liked the whole first season (watched it in about a week), but the last couple of episodes are beginning to annoy me. just as one mystery is revealed, two more even more far-fetched ones are introduced. I D/L in HDTV and watch it on my mac.

Has that damn polar bear in the very first episode EVER been explained?

How would I know if I hadn't seen it yet? Is it tonight's show?

hal, you would have seen it had you watched the episodes this season. If you haven't watched the episodes, it wouldn't make much sense to you ;-) ... it is the Dharma tape. (Again, that's not spoiling much-- if you have watched the second season so far, then you know what I'm talking about; if not, then you won't.)
