39% favor impeachment by Congress
#1
There is a pretty interesting article on the Insider Advantage/Majority Opinion web site that reports that a poll they commissioned shows that 39% of those questioned were in favor of impeaching both the President AND the Vice President. An interesting issue about this poll is that Insider Advantage/Majority Opinion ain't no wacky left wing liberal organization, but rather is run by Matt Towery, the former chairman of Speaker Newt Gingrich's political organization until Newt left Congress.

It's an interesting read, especially when you consider the numbers are close to what Clinton's were when his impeachment process was first introduced - and he wasn't on the short side of a very unpopular war.

Have a look:

Interesting article. From the conservative views of the author, it goes to show that even the repubs know this admin is captained by clowns.

The only reason they won't impeach both is because the idea of President Pelosi scares everyone.

It just scares the GOP a lot more.

There are NO good options with impeachment, which is the ONLY thing saving G-Dub right now.

President Cheney? Shoot me. Preferably in the face.
President Pelosi? Well, she'd be better than G-Dub or Cheney (but then, so would a cute puppy). But not only does she not WANT the job, she certainly doesn't want it under those circumstances. On top of that, I just don't think she's presidential material.

Yeah that. She's no Mitt Romney or Fred Thompson.

As much as I loathe President Rove - er Cheney - and his sidekick, "President" G.W. Bush, impeachment at this point is a big waste of time and money. Right now, the Bush Presidency is like watching the Cubs play baseball in August...a few more months and this will all be over.

If only Shrubya was so innocuous to the World as the Cubs are to baseball.

I just found my new sig!

And it adds just a little extra fun in that my most recent ex was a Cubs fan (though she wasn't a Bush fan).

I wish they'd find a fresh set of 1,003 people to poll.
