I fell in love with her back in the late early 80's - some of her best work IMHO

Check out her "Road Tested" DVD if you want a real treat including several great
guest appearances -Ruth & Charles Brown with Ruth and her singing "Never Make Your Move Too Soon",
Jackson Browne in a guitar duet singing "My Opening Farewell" and more

A great band including Kim Wilson (Fabulous Thunderbirds) playing blues harp

Her appearance in "Lightning in a Bottle" DVD is very good as well

She's AWESOME! Isn't Lucida just as good? Haven't heard her music yet.

I enjoy Lucinda Williams but she has a lot of miles to cover before she even catches up with Bonnie

People love Raitts voice and her writing and covers but her slide work on the guitar is top notch
She learned a lot in her early years from Mississippi Fred McDowell and learned it well

On the Road Tested she does a tribute to him (Kokomo) and it was the highlight IMHO

CMT Crossroads should be airing the concert of Bonnie and Lyle Lovett pretty soon. They've been promoting the heck out of it and I've rediscovered my musical love for the two of them.

My husband loves to watch Bonnie Raitt play guitar. It almost makes me jealous to watch him watch her. Big Grin

Wow, this I just don't get.

I'm missing something here that people seem to be getting intrinsically.
