time for me to deal w/the dreaded cell phone monster.

i'm a longtime sprint user-8yrs- but i can't seem to get them to negotiate the price on a 4phone/2kmin family plan.

i'm wondering if its time to move to verizon or t-mobile

thanks in advance

I don't think you can get any company to negotiate. Just try and get the best deal from whatever company.

Verizon has reasonable plans. Great coverage wherever I travel.
Nobody negotiates rates anymore. The plans are all so close in what is offered (at least at the lower end) that it's really the local quality of reception and the availability of particular phone models that make the difference.

I enjoy the Verizon LG5200VX. It's a good balance of phone and foofery at a good price. Great reception and sound. A cheap USB cable and BitPim make it easy to upload ringtones and transfer pictures. The LG8100 is also nice if you dont mind the larger size.

Been happy with Cingular. I get much better coverage out in the "boonies", than I did with Sprint. Like the rollover minutes.

When, I shopped last, Cingular had the best plan. Cingular actually would negotiate to get me from Sprint. Verizon would not negotiate.

Don't really love either one of them.

I've dealt with Sprint recently, and they were happy to negotiate on a long-time user account.

Were you able to get them to budge at all, or just not enough for your tastes?

If you move, make it Verizon.

we have 2500min/4 phone/7pm n&w/voice dial/unlimited vision/free mobile-mobile $120/mo family plan from sprint. not spectacular, but consistent. killer is over 24% in taxes... sanyo phones work good, but we're not feature creatures, ymmv

Prepaid T-Mobile. I love it. I'm saving a ton of money. Had a plan that was $50 month before. Now I never pay overages.

I must be doing all right.
My Verizon plan is $36.79
$0.77 wireless surcharge.
$3.30 taxes, gov. surcharges and fees
----------------------
$40.80 / mo.

closer to 10% taxes and surcharges.

I actually have a $39.99 plan, but I get a $3.20 discount every month. Forget why.

Qwest here. Tied in to our land line. 2 phones, 600 shared minutes $60 a month for both of us. ALL calls between the 2 phones, or between the home # and one of the cells are free and don't count. I doubt I have over 100 minutes used a month. Most of those are long distance, which don't cost extra either.

Qwest uses Sprint hardware AFAIK, so I get pretty good coverage except for at my desk at work (or in my moms house). i pop into and out of roaming while I am seated!)
