Best bag for Macbook?
#1
I want to give my college son a bag for his new Macbook. Any opinions on what to buy? He would also like some room to carry the power adapter & a few other accessories.

Hands down, Willow Designs. Too bad they're no longer in business though.

InCase: http://www.koyono.com/Incase-Sling-Pack-...l55025.htm

Shop around on eBay, I got mine for around $30 shipped. LOVE IT. The size is deceiving. It will hold quite a lot, though not too many books in addition to a MB.

I'm very happy with a sleeve + favorite backpack combo.

Made in usa, tough and cool. I've had two of them for six years now, both still look new although they've been everywhere.

If you want protection, then go with Brenthaven:

Their backpacks are great also:

One of these

with one of these

The Acme Made Clyde is well constructed with more than enough room inside for all of his gear (including a textbook or two)

The Waterfield Sleeve is excellent shock-and-bump protection for the Macbook, and -- with a shoulder strap and flapped opening -- serves as well as a laptop bag when you are just heading to the coffee shop or out to the park, and don't want to haul anything heavier or bulkier.

Crumpler Bags have a certain cool factor too, but was more impressed by the workmanship on the Acme Made bags.
