The wife has been busy baking pies.

Apple, Pecan and Pumpkin pies are cooling in the kitchen as I type this.

It takes whatever shred of will power I have left to not cut a slice of pie and have a midnight snack.

I ove this site it keeps me sane. I live out in the country and can go days
without talking to another human being, It can be lonely. This site keeps
me informed and in touch with people, a big thank-you to everyone.

I hope everyone here has a good holiday and remember those that might be forgotten.

At last count we'll have almost 30 at my moms for dinner - most family and a few strays
as my dad used to say - same as always.

Safe travels to all and the diet starts when the pumpkin pie is gone.

Pies hot from the oven take a very long time to cool to eating temp. Taste them too early, and it's like pouring molten lava on your tongue.
