What are you gonna try and get? I didn't see anything I'd walk tot he mailbox for let alone camp out. Did I overlook something? If it's just for the fun of it, right on. Best of luck.

Almost no point in going to electronics stores in NYC anymore. A few years ago, when they were first allowed to enter the city, it was a bonanza. Now, it's just a chore.
Online has better prices anyways.

what? you did not have electronics sores in NYC? I guess you're talking about megastores like CC and BB, because smaller shops were always allowed, right?
So what did you guys do, crossed the river to NJ to do your shopping?

Me and some friends were planning to hit one of the local Best Buys at around 9:00 tonight (as much to experience this 'cultural phenomenon' as the deals). We needed to be under the magic number of 15 to make it worthwhile. No such luck, recon earlier in the evening showed a minimum of 20 @ each location. No joy.
Maybe I'll try for some Wii's tomorrow morning...but wonder who'll be selling them?
Wnat are some good on-line deals?

Saw nothing in the BB ad to make it worth it for me. However, last year I got there about 90 minutes after it opened, which was great because most of the crowd was gone. Got a couple items that were still "cheap", but obviously the doorbusters were gone.
I heard that people were lining up at the local BB starting yesterday morning. I'm not sure anything is worth spending two days of my life waiting in line for.

Only thing that would get in line for would be real real cheap Macbook or Cubs World Series tickets circa 2008. The socialization would be fun though. They must have portable toilets, no?
