I don't understand why they would have to take down the entire store to do an update like this... Change the price graphics, update the database with the sale prices, and upload. Is it more complicated than that?

For the same reason Wal-mart or whoever closes their doors - marketing hype. It builds anticipation.

Probably because they're doing more updates than just Friday's sale. It's the Official beginning of the "Holiday Season". (a massive thing for retailers) I suspect the site will be updated in preparation for the Christmas Holiday shopping season, not just one shopping day.

So staring at the various countries listed with their flags as buttons.. Anyone else wonder why Portugal doesn't have a flag showing? It should be two colors, Green & Red spliting about 60-40...

Also since national languages are used to identify the country, shouldn't Taiwan be be written in Mandarin Chinese rather than English?

Finally, why does Begium get listed twice? (België and Belgique) If it is because of dual languages, then shouldn't Canada be listed twice as well (Englsh and French for Quebec)

Decent prices for Apple.. they are matching Amazon on hardware (but still charge sales tax, so Amazon may be still be better). Not enough to make me pull any triggers though
