Anyone use low cost security video cam set like from Costco?
#1
After my Chevy Suburban got popped ($400 Valentine One radar detector stolen!) right in the driveway of a quiet suburban (formerly border of rural) community, not only am I ticked, but I got a feeling that a B & E is next.

Not that it will really stop anyone, but in the hope of slowing them down (and confirming my suspicions and dream of catching the local felons) I am beefing up motion detector illumination on all sides and thinking about a security camera set like this one at Costco:

They also had one in the store with night vision in the same price range.

There are also a bunch of internet cameras for bigger money that send a JPEG to the net if you are away - and I do travel a bit. But I was wondering if anyone had any real experience with the performance of any of these. THANKS!

This is a great system. You could pay as mush just for couple of decent cameras. Your bigger cost is professional installation and running of wires and cables. Take a look at http://www.homesecuritystore.com/ roo

I looked at that after some items were stolen from the side of my house...driveway side.

I'm installing a web camera so the computer can take pictures of anyone activating the camera. I'll have about $70 invested when I get thru.

When I'm finished I'll post the pictures of the install.

Can go up instantly. You can place it inside looking out on the driveway.

ps

Noticed it is just a recorder. This one has a camera too.
