Looking for a frame that doesn't require a CF or otherwise card, but that can be used USB. My father-in-law lives in CO (we're in ME) and would love to be able to send him photos of his newborn grandson via email and have him able to hook up and load the pics.
Anyone know of anything? It's a Christmas present idea, BTW.

I have the Kodak wifi frame and it has 128MB internal memory, a multiformat card reader, and a USB port in addition to the wifi capability.
When you plug the frame into the computer, two drives show up in the Finder: the internal memory, and whatever is plugged into the card reader.
I don't know if all frames work this way.

There are a lot that have USB jacks, but getting them to work with a Mac is another thing altogether. Make sure you can return it easily if you buy one not knowing for sure that it'll work on a Mac.

He's on a PC. Good to know, though.

I've tried several that have USB jacks and internal memory. They mount on a Mac just fine, so long as they are plugged in to wall-power.
I think the last one that I tried was a 128MB Pandigital from BB&B.

There was one on BB&B for $90 that looks decent. Thanks, all.

Coby does that.
Also works great on Macs, and is much cheaper!

By the way, the Kodak wifi frame can be configured so that it displays photos that friends have shared with you on the Kodak Gallery website. It works well.
With that you might not need to do anything at all via email and USB.
