Last Night I woke up with quite a start...sat straight up in bed ...

I had a 3.8 lb Chihuhua in the front of my pajama shirt with her head down the sleeve.

Scared me. When I fished her out, she had the funniest look on her face, like, "where the hell am I"

I was cold, so I wore fleece PJ's to bed. I guess she was cold too.

She usually sleeps next to me. First time since she was a teeny pup that she climbed into my clothes.

My bird does that when he gets sleepy. He's a Green Cheek Conure, about the size of a robin but with a long tail. He'll crawl down my shirt and make his way to my armpit. If I wait too long I can't get him back out without taking off my shirt. I'm sure he'd like to spend the night that way but he'd most likely get squished once I started tossing and turning.

Nothing has started me more than having one of my cats crawl under the covers and snuggle up behind me. Then affectionately bite my a$$. Damn cat needs to learn how to give head butts like all the others.

My cat used to get on top of me and watch my face until I opened my eyes in the morning. The minute I did...

We're used to that by now. The littlest chi sometimes jumps out of bed, and then claws at one or the other of us to get back under the covers. And will often climb into my wife's nightgowns with her.

Which, of course, means that when I reach over, I get growled at. Which was kind of disconcerting.Big Grin

LOL - cbelt Aren't the funny when they growl? They think they are so bad...

Mine does not growl, yet.

I pet sit for an 3 year old Chi, who does that low, warning growl, if you wake her up, or when she is tired of people pawing at her.

“One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know.”

I guess I'm lucky. Malibu sleeps at the end of the bed, and only pokes a claw into my scalp at 5 AM to let me know he's A. Hungry and B. needs a knuckle rub.

My S/O used to have a cat who enjoyed using my tummy as a trampoline in the middle of the night.

My first cat would lay on my chest and stare at me to try to wake me up on weekends/holidays when we would sleep in a few hours. I would easily ignore him until he started trying to lick my upper eyelids open! That little tongue was rough. Let's just say he won.
