A clever trick for me maybe not for all but it might come in handy.
I was copying some Tarzan movies for a trip. The Disks are double features. My PC copy program will only give me one movie and the 2nd is lost. So....I ran the disks thru MTK. Then I tried a Video copy with Toast 7&8 because this worked on one of them.
However, the remaining two got error messages from Toast "12 files cannot be copied. Unknown format". Well, nutz.
So I hooked up the Fat32 PC external drive to my Toshiba. I had copied the remaining two Tarzan disks with MTK to this external.(all my externals are formatted with Fat32 so I can use them interchangably on mac and PC)
I opened up Roxio on the Toshiba(6 I think) and copied the movie files off the external Hard Drive placed there by my mac and MTK.
Hurrah! Roxio PC copied the files to make double feature disks like the originals!
This may not be of interest to anyone but me. I had a problem and solved it using mac and PC. That is only one reason I like to have PCs around. Perhaps I could have used my MacBook Intel But Roxio was not installed on it and the OS on WIN is bobtail and I don't know if it recognizes the CD/DVD drive....anyway...going to the Toshiba was much simpler for a trial run.
I hope this can help someone else that is a movie nut like me. This is all probably clear as mud.
