IT'S AWESOME! 30" Cinema Display on my desk!

Reference this thread for the background on this display:

I went and took a look at it today. It is in immaculate shape. It still had the clear adhesive protector strips on the side. Owner said it had been used only a couple of times. I believe it.

First, it's hard to believe someone would buy one and not use it. But the owner had a MBP and didn't use the Cinema Display.

I bought it for $900.

I remember the first time I stood in front of a 30" Cinema Display. It was breath-taking. I am still pinching myself.

PS: Does anyone have a magnetic iSight mounting bracket they want to sell?

Very nice.

I remember my first few encounters with 30 inch displays. They are truely massive.

Now, people that I work with run 2 30's and 1 20. THAT is screen realestate.

I know what you mean 'Chip.

I have a Dell 2405 I could run along side the Cinema Display. Play a movie or watch TV on the Dell and use the 30" for work. That sounds like heaven.

Run it!

With that said, the people I work with running 2 30's and 1 20 are struggling to find legitimate things to do with all that screen realestate.

I understand completely. Although my newest acquisition is a 23" ACD and not a 30", I'm just floored by it. I know it's wrong to love a piece of gear this much, but...

The seller told me the display was out of warranty.

I just checked the serial number and it is covered by Applecare for another year! Bonus!

How does someone transfer Applecare? Is it something I can do or does the seller have to?
