Several neighbors showed up last night with torches and were screaming and yelling.
I was hoping the whole place was going to be torched. Turned out they were just yelling
for their turn on the swing.
The neighbors are at it again. This time? Redneck Tree Swing....

Surely, you don't think Jimmypoo would ever post anything facetious, do you?

He lives in Atlanta. What makes you think it might be a joke?

Hell, my dad put bicycle on a similar couch and made a pony cart out of it. It fell apart about a mile from home, and we had to carry it back.
I think I realized we was redneck when he opened the sliding glass door on the trailor, sat on the (probably same couch) with a beer and a .22, and shot gophers on th front lawn...

I will say, that on Saturday I threw a toilet onto the front lawn, with some of the carpet from the bath I'm tiling now. Being that trash gets hauled today because of Labor Day, that made for a nice "display" for about 3 days. My dad came by one day and covered up the toilet (and presumably my shame) with the carpet.
I would never have thought to leave it there until I moved to GA.

You could have cleaned it before the public display.

When you think of Mississippi, what comes to mind? Illiteracy? Sweltering heat? Bigotry? Velvet Elvis? These are all valid responses. However, we must remember what Mississippi gives to the world of architecture. The mobile home is an icon in every Mississippi town with as much symbolism as the second place trophy (Civil War memorial) adorning every Mississippi town square. |
