it has just been revealed. No matter what you think of a human being, dementia is sad sad sad and I'm sure not the way she is going to want to leave this life.

Went through that with both my grandmothers (fortunately just the last few months of thier time here). It is extremely frustrating for all involved.

A true pity. The Iron Lady played a huge role in the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the recovery of the United Kingdom from it's political implosion of the earlier decade.

sick sick and not humorous. If you have ever had to care for someone with dementia or had a loved one with ALZ or any form of dementia you would not have made that statement.

Just revealed? I will swear I heard about it two or three weeks ago but I am too lazy to look it up.

I work part time in a nursing home, and have worked closely with a few folks recently who have just gotten to the point where they can't function outside of such an environment.
They're with it enough to get frustrated by their decline, and at times have the insight to know they have Alzheimer's. Not sure how anyone can joke about this.
