What would happen if you told your boss you hated your job?...

and didn't like them much either?

Would they bother to ask you why? fire you on the spot?

That is quite a philosophical question for your first ever post. I'd guess that you'd likely be asked to leave. The hating your job part isn't so bad, but telling your boss that you don't like them much either would be the clincher. If I were your boss I'd reason that if you don't want to work here, I don't want you working here.

I guess it would depend on how reasonable a person they are. But if they were, you probably would like them better.

Count to ten before you make that sort of decision.

Quite astute of you.
Not my "first ever post". Just my first under this pseudonym. It seemed prudent.

'Depends on the boss.

I've had some who'd say, "What can I do to make this better for you?" others who'd say, "Sorry to see you go" others who'd show me the door and still others who'd giggle like a little girl at something like that.

Or, "Yeah, welcome to the club! Now get back to work!"
